The Morris Island Lighthouse was constructed in 1876, and at 161 feet, is the tallest lighthouse in South Carolina.  When constructed it was 1200 feet from the ocean, but after years of errosion it is now abandoned and isolated.  It is located near the shipping lanes leading to Charleston Harbor, north of Folly Beach.

While on James Island I found a family of Leucistic squirrels.  Over the course on an hour, I counted 5 white ones, and several others with normal coloring.  Leucism is a condition that causes loss of pigmentation.  It is not the same as albinism.

This bird is an Anhinga or snake bird, because of its usual fishing style.  It can be mistaken for a swimming snake.  It swims under the water looking for fish, then tosses them into air before swallowing them.

Your golf ball landed right over there, near the water hazard.  It should be easy to find (Lady's Island).
