The following photos were taken in Dallas Tx at 1:42pm on 04-08-2024.  I wanted to find a foreground element to add context to the event.  This was difficult because the eclipse was almost completely overhead.  I finally found and settled on this modern art sculpture known as  "Traveling Man".  Traveling man is located in the Deep Elum Neighborhood, near downtown Dallas.  

Taking photos in low light settings can be difficult and I wanted to capture the details of the scene but not blow out the high contrast element of the moon and bright corona.  Luckily I picked the right camera settings, as I don't think I will have the opportunity to take these pictures again.  These were the fasted 3 minutes of my life.
